CNNMoney's Jose Pagliery: Bitcoin Is 'Next Evolution of Money'

Like it or not, Bitcoin is likely to be the future of money, according to CNNMoney website reporter Jose Pagliery.

"We all should be interested in the topic," Pagliery said Friday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"The short version: Bitcoin is essentially electronic money, no government produces it, it's completely independent, and the purpose it has is that it shows us what money could be.

"It's that next evolution of money. It's totally digital, totally seamless. If you go to the bank there is no bank. You don't have to wait until you get paid. Payments are instantaneous," Pagliery said.

Pagliery — author of "Bitcoin: And the Future of Money," published by Triumph Books — added:

"A growing community in the U.S. and abroad has begun to look at this and be interested in it because this money can do things that other money can't."
