Antony Sabato Jr.: Lawless Politicians Must Be Ousted

(Newsmax TV's "America Talks Live")

Too many politicians believe the law does not apply to them, Antonio Sabato Jr., the hunky actor-turned-Congressional candidate, tells Newsmax TV.

"A lot of people in government, they think they're above the law," Sabato Jr. told host Miranda Khan on Tuesday's "America Talks Live." "We've seen it with Hillary Clinton. We've seen it with President [Barack] Obama. We've seen it with [Sen. Al] Franken. They think they're invincible, and that's not the case.

"So we need to change people in government to people with class and dignity – who love American first."

Sen. Franken, a Democrat, announced earlier this month he plans to resign following multiple accusations by women they were sexually harassed by the former "Saturday Night Live" comic who has been the junior senator from Minnesota since 2009.

Sabato Jr., a former Calvin Klein model who has appeared in TV shows like "General Hospital" and "Melrose Place," was asked by Khan if he thought Democrats forced Franken to resign for political reasons or because of ethics.

"I think it's all got to do with donors and the private interest at this point," he said.
