Conan O'Brien will be the first late-night talk show host to originate a show from Cuba since travel restrictions were lifted earlier this year,
Deadline Hollywood reports.
O'Brien took a small crew to Havana on Thursday and has been taping "Conan" segments all weekend for a show to air on TBS March 4, the website reported.
The last late-night host to film in Cuba was Jack Paar, who interviewed Fidel Castro for "The Tonight Show" in 1959. Paar was criticized for conducting the interview with the communist revolutionary, who, with his brother Raul, still controls the country.
President Barack Obama announced in December a normalizing of relations with Cuba, which has been under an embargo from the United States since 1962. The embargo, which would require congressional action, still has not been lifted.
