Darrell Issa to Newsmax TV: 'I'm Too Young and Too Restless' to Stay Out of Congress

By    |   Thursday, 03 December 2020 04:01 PM EST

Darrell Issa, the recently elected California Republican, told Newsmax TV on Thursday that he’s ''too young and too restless'' to stay out of Congress despite stepping down last year.

''I spent two years advising and helping the [Trump] administration, but without a title which was fine,'' he told ''American Agenda'' Thursday afternoon. ''But I'm too young and too restless not to want to make a difference.''

He added, ''With the advice and consent of the president I withdrew my nomination and went to run. And now I've won the seat, I’m looking forward to getting back into the fray, both in a positive way with legislation but also to hold this new administration, if they're sworn in, accountable.''
