President Donald Trump does not seem to be using "bully pulpit" to go after Democrats — particularly in Senate races where incumbents are vulnerable, former House Speaker Tom DeLay said Tuesday.
In remarks to Newsmax TV's "America Talks Live" host Miranda Khan, the former Colorado GOP congressman and The Washington Times radio host said he agreed with former House Speaker Newt Gingrich: "We ought to be going after the Democrats."

"Money and resources should be targeted at those 10 or 11 Democrat senators that are up for reelection," he said, adding:
"It just doesn't seem that the president is using his bully pulpit against those Democrats, especially [Senate Minority Leader Charles] Schumer [D-N.Y.] . . . Schumer says the most awful things about him, and he never hits back. I don't understand that."
"And we ought to be going into those states with resources and find candidates for them because we can pick up six to eight seats, and if we pick up six to eight seats, we're not going to have any problems in the Senate in the year 2019."
