Bernie Sanders was so strong in the Democratic presidential debate Tuesday that party operatives will force Vice President Joe Biden into the race for the nomination, political strategist Dick Morris told
Newsmax TV.
"The key thing about this debate was that Biden wasn't there," Morris said on the "Newsmax TV Debate Special" hosted by Steve Malzberg. "Once you put Biden in there, and you play it against what happened in this debate, the results are inevitable.
"And Biden has to come into this now because it's so obvious that Sanders would defeat Hillary," he said.

Biden has not yet said whether he would enter the race, but Morris told Malzberg that he's made a decision.
"I don't believe for one minute that Joe Biden is undecided about getting into this race," he said. "This is all an act. If he had genuinely decided not to run, he would've doused all the speculation.
"What's going on is that Bernie Sanders is making his own nomination so likely that the leaders of the Democratic Party are going to line up behind Biden and force him into the race, but it won't take much forcing.
"He's letting himself be available, because he wants to be president — as he has demonstrated twice before," Morris said.
He also believes that President Barack Obama will "drop some bombs on Hillary to push Biden's candidacy" and that the vice president will be in the race by the time of the South Carolina primary in February.
"By the time we get to South Carolina, Biden will be in the race and blacks will turn away from Hillary in droves," Morris said. "The guy who's going to win the South Carolina primary is Biden."
