Dick Morris to Newsmax TV: Urge Contested States Not to Certify

Tuesday, 17 November 2020 05:11 PM EST

Presidential political strategist Dick Morris is urging people who live in states being contested by the Trump campaign to write to their legislative leaders and urge them not to certify the results of the Nov. 3 elections.

"Unless there is a ballot count in which Republicans can observe the count, in which signatures on ballots are verified, and in which the time and date of the vote is noted, and its disallowed if it's after the deadline," Morris said Tuesday on Newsmax TV's "American Agenda," "unless there's a count that meets those three requirements, I would like people to urge their legislators not to certify the results of the election until an audit is conducted under those ground rules."

Morris told hosts Bob Sellers and Heather Childers that voters in Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania should call and write their legislators. The contact information is all compiled at his website DickMorris.com, he said.

The move appears part of the campaign's effort to throw the election to the U.S. House of Representatives by denying Democrat Joe Biden 270 electoral votes. Such a move would likely give the Donald Trump a second term, since voting would go by state delegation, and Republicans control the majority of those.

Asked about Nevada's voting irregularities, Morris quipped, "Nevada makes an industry out of gambling and stealing elections, and under Harry Reid they perfected it to an art. I would have hoped they would have lost their skill, but apparently not."
