Jeb Bush is only damaging his lackluster presidential campaign further by launching attacks on GOP front-runner Donald Trump, veteran political analyst Dick Morris tells
Newsmax TV.
"It's ridiculous, it's stupid for him to be attacking Trump," Morris, a former adviser to President Bill Clinton, said Monday on "Newsmax Prime" with J.D. Hayworth.

"Trump is at 24 [percent] in the polls and he's at 7 — and he was at 16 until Trump beat him down to 7. Not by attacking him, but simply by being more effective than he was."
"By trying to stake out that contrast, of him against Trump, [Bush is] only going to push himself down further."
In the past week, the former Florida governor and the billionaire developer have been warring over the accuracy of Bush's claim that his brother President George W. Bush "kept us safe" from terrorists. Trump has pointed out that the 9/11 attacks occurred under George W. Bush's watch.
Morris, a Newsmax contributor, said he believes Trump's 9/11 argument was "a fair shot and a reasonable one" at Jeb Bush's declaration.
