Ted Cruz "hurts himself" by remaining in the race for the Republican presidential nomination — especially after losing five Northeastern states on Tuesday, political strategist Dick Morris told
Newsmax TV.
"Cruz hurts himself, but it's the pursuit of the presidency," he told "America Votes: 2016" host Dennis Michael Lynch. "As long as he has a window to get in, he can.
"This is the worst time for Cruz and it's a tough time for [Donald] Trump, because Trump has a small window and Cruz hasn't won a primary in three weeks.
"It's bad for both of them — and we'll see who comes out the other end," Morris said.
"Basically, you have to see this is the Northeast primary."
