Ed Klein: Trump Has Found Hillary's Weak Spot

By    |   Wednesday, 25 November 2015 03:28 PM EST

Donald Trump's jaw-dropping ad in which Hillary Clinton's laughing is shown over the burning American compound in Benghazi is his reminder to Republican voters that he's best equipped to take on the former secretary of state, bestselling political author Ed Klein tells Newsmax TV.

"I'm sure she's not [amused by it], but whenever Hillary cackles, it's like having your fingernails rubbing on a blackboard — it sort of turns everybody off," Klein said in an interview aired Wednesday on "Newsmax Prime" with J.D. Hayworth and Miranda Khan.

"And Donald is sending a signal that he would be the most powerful opponent of Hillary Clinton in 2016."

The commercial, which references the 2012 terror attack in which U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were killed, says: "Hillary has been having a laugh at our expense for years …"Don't let the joke be on us!"

Klein — author of "Unlikeable: The Problem with Hillary," published by Regnery — called the over-the-top campaign spot "very effective."

"I go around America making speeches. Again and again I get the same questions from the audience in the Q&A area at the end of my speeches and they ask me about Hillary's laugh all the time, because it turns everybody off," he said.

"So Donald has, as usual, found the weakest spot that he can and put his finger in there."
