Rep. Erin Houchin, R-Ind., told Newsmax on Wednesday the presidency of Donald Trump represents a golden age for America.
With his executive orders and signing the Laken Riley Act into law, Houchin said on "National Report" that Trump is keeping the promises he made to the American people.
"House Republicans are right in lockstep with the president to deliver on these promises," Houchin said.
Houchin said Trump is committed to getting rid of the radical transgender ideology and diversity, equity and inclusion programs.
"He wants to make sure that federal dollars are not going to these things that are harming American youth and American citizens," Houchin said. "I certainly support all efforts to do that."
By signing executive orders aimed at cutting federal support for gender transition surgeries for people under the age of 19, Houchin said Trump is bringing common sense back to America.
"We cannot support these gender mutilations on children," Houchin said. "I'm glad the president is taking a strong stance on that. I'm glad that he has taken executive action to stop that and halt these things that House Republicans and Senate Republicans have been working on prior to Trump, all of which have been blocked by the radical Biden administration and congressional Democrats. It's a new golden age for America. Back to common sense. We're excited to be part of it."
