Former House Majority Leader and Texas Rep. Tom DeLay on Monday added his voice to those calling for the resignation of FBI Director Christopher Wray after the Bureau's failure to act on a tip about the shooter in last week's school massacre in South Florida.
In an interview on Newsmax TV's "America Talks Live," DeLay blasted Wray's "mindset" as "absolutely wrong."
"I am not a believer in the FBI, and I've lost all trust in the FBI," DeLay said, blasting Wray's inability at the Bureau to "clean it out and clean it up."
"I'd call for his resignation, too," he said.
"I blame the Obama administration for completely corrupting the FBI and Department of Justice," he added. "The president and [Attorney General Jeff] Sessions need to understand something needs to be done. And if Christopher Wary doesn't understand that . . . somebody needs to clean this up."

DeLay also rejected calls for an assault weapons ban in the wake of the shooting.
"This is not about guns," he said. "It's about the person who pulled the trigger. I hope the president shows some leadership on this."
"You can make yourself feel good by doing more extensive background checks," he added. "But it's not going to do anything . . . I'd come down hard on the FBI."
