Tax expert Grover Norquist explained how Republicans' plans to repeal and replace Obamacare will improve America's tax situation during an interview with Newsmax TV.
"Remember, Obamacare is 20 taxes with a stethoscope attached to it," Norquist told host J.D. Hayworth on "Newsmax Prime."
"So, when you get rid of Obamacare it's $1 trillion in taxes over 10 years and then a bunch of spending as well. They will have that all repealed in one package."

Norquist, the founder and president of Americans for Tax Reform and author of "End the IRS Before It Ends Us," then went into more detail about the GOP's plan to ditch the Affordable Care Act in favor of something else.
"People will have access to health insurance, competitive health insurance, insurance they want, not just what the government tells you to," he said. "That will pass first and the reason that passes first is when we move the tax reform, we want the $1 trillion tax cut in getting rid of Obamacare to happen first. Then we do the tax cut because we have a lower baseline, a smaller amount of money we have to raise in taxes. So together, we get a larger tax cut by doing Obamacare taxes repealed first."
Norquist added that the death tax will be abolished, as will the alternative minimum tax. The corporate and individual tax rates will be reduced as well.
"This is a — I don't know if the president said huge, but he should have said huge," he said.
