Michael Reagan: Hillary Will Lose Election for Second Time Via Recount

By    |   Monday, 28 November 2016 09:00 PM EST

Hillary Clinton lost the presidential election to Donald Trump, and she will lose again via the recount that is being discussed in a handful of states, commentator Michael Reagan told Newsmax TV.

The recount in states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and even Pennsylvania would be a wasted effort, Reagan told "Newsmax Prime" host J.D. Hayworth.

"I think it's totally for Hillary Clinton to get involved," Reagan said of the recount ordered by the Green Party's Jill Stein, who received less than 1 percent of the popular vote in the Nov. 8 election. "What will happen is she will end up losing twice to Donald Trump not just the one time to Donald Trump. She'll have egg all of her face, because the reality is he is going to be the next president of the United States, not Hillary Rodham Clinton."

Officials in Wisconsin announced Monday they will begin a recount later this week, NBC News reported.

Stein is also pursuing a recount in Pennsylvania, but her campaign missed the deadline to file for it.

Michigan has also been discussed as another state to have its votes counted again.

Reagan did say Trump should not "let his ego get in the way of his presidency" in response to the president-elect's tweets over the weekend that claimed "millions" of people voted illegally for Clinton.
