Americans cannot count on the prospect of a Jan. 6 challenge to the Electoral College's certification of Joe Biden's win because Democrats have the votes to stifle it, says Trump legal team member Jordan Sekulow.
"A wild, wild west style of elections, we've got to prevent that and got to stop that, but I have a fear Democrats in blue states are saying, 'hey, this worked great for us, so we're going to keep this,'" Sekulow said during an appearance on Saturday's "America Right Now."
Sekulow told host Tom Basile the options in Congress are a dead end before a slight Democrat majority in the House.
"I like to be honest and fair always with the Newsmax viewers," Sekulow said, saying Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Ala., is justified to contest the certification of the Electoral College in the House.
"You're not going to have the votes there," Sekulow said.
Now, it is most important to just make sure Georgia's Jan. 5 Senate runoffs are lawfully run, and "make sure this never happens again, because there was an abuse of the elections," Sekulow concluded.
