Jamiel Shaw Sr. told
Newsmax TV that his 17-year-old football star son was "doing everything right" when he was gunned down in 2008 by an illegal immigrant in Los Angeles — and that's why he is supporting Republican front-runner Donald Trump.
"He stayed out of trouble, never been suspended from school, never been in trouble with the law, was in no gangs," Shaw told "The Steve Malzberg Show" in an interview.

He said his son, Jamiel Jr., was around the corner from his home when he was shot.
"I heard two gunshots," the elder Shaw told Malzberg. "That was right outside. I never heard a gunshot that close before. That was my first time.
"It was obvious. It was so crisp. I never heard that before that close. I knew."
Shaw said he told Trump the story in person — and "he grabbed his chest like, 'I don't want to hear no more.'
