Former U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions told Newsmax TV on Thursday that the leader of the World Health Organization “failed, fundamentally” to warn the world about the coronavirus.
Sessions told China has been working to influence the WHO and about a dozen other international organizations, saying this is “typical” behavior for the country’s government.
“It’s typical of what they have been doing, they have sought steadfastly to influence and really take over some fifteen world organizations like the World Health Organization,” the former Alabama senator told “The National Report.”
He added that WHO General-Director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus “is one of their acolytes, one of the people they supported. He has not been objective, he has failed, fundamentally, to properly warn the world, no doubt about that.”
Sessions said that Tedros “has made this pandemic much worse, people have died, and he has been biased towards China, he just has. We need a complete review of that, he does not need to stay in office, in my opinion, and the president is exactly right to reduce funding until this organization gets actually focused on the mission it’s supposed to have, which is to protect the world from things like this pandemic.”
