The liberal media goes out of its way to present conservative women politicians as scatterbrained or unstable, says syndicated columnist Jeffrey Lord, a contributing editor at The American Spectator.

He pointed to an article that portrayed Palin, the former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate, wearing running shorts.
And he said photos of Bachmann, a U.S. congresswoman from Minnesota, are unflattering.
"Frankly, this extends to conservative blacks, to conservative minorities, conservative Latinos, especially if you're a conservative black woman. They will do this over and over and over again,'' Lord said.
"They have a sort of proprietary interest in women and minorities, and if you get off of that reservation, they're going to come after you.
"So, Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, and others are very much a target here, and it's just an enormous double standard. You would never see them treat Hillary Clinton like this — ever.''
