Conservative political strategist Jeffrey Lord told Newsmax TV on Friday that the Justice Department inspector general's report "vindicated … totally" President Donald Trump.
"The business with these phone calls and all this back and forth, not just between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, but others whom they give numbers to," Lord, who served in the Reagan administration, told "Newsmax Now" host John Bachman.

In the 500-page report released Thursday, Inspector General Michael Horowitz cited an exchange of texts between Strzok and Page, two FBI officials, as an example of bias against Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump during the 2016 election.
In the exchange, dated Aug. 8, 2016, Page questioned whether Trump would become president.
Strzok replied: "No. No he's not. We'll stop it."
Lord told Bachman: "This is bad news.
"This is the seriously bad sabotaging of an American presidential election — and it has vindicated the president totally."
