Vice President Joe Biden was "totally uniformed" in bashing Donald Trump's remarks about PTSD and the nation's veterans, former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Pete Hoekstra told Newsmax TV on Tuesday.

"Shame on Joe Biden," the former Michigan representative and current Trump surrogate, told host J.D. Hayworth on "America Talks Live" in an interview. "I wish he showed the same passion for reforming the VA that he's demonstrating for Mr. Trump, where comments are taken out of context.

"They are twisted and it's negative."

"The vice president was totally uninformed, shows no passion for reforming the VA and taking care of our vets," Hoekstra said.

Biden was among those slamming Trump for comments he made Monday, suggesting Trump said soldiers who suffer from mental-health issues might not be as strong as those who do not.

"Shame on our vice president," Hoekstra told Hayworth. "Mr. Biden, take the last three months in office that you have and go do something about the VA."
