Rep. John James, R-Mich., told Newsmax on Friday that President-elect Donald Trump will start “rolling back” President Joe Biden’s policies on his first day in office to promote energy independence and lower supply chain costs.
James said on “Wake Up America” that Trump will enact executive orders on day one to address several of his main issues, including cracking down on the border and promoting U.S. energy production.
“The president is coming in with a plan to keep his promises to the American people,” James said, adding that Trump plans on “effectively rolling back all the harmful regulations that Biden put in, which, oddly enough, were just a knee jerk reaction to President Trump's correct executive actions to keep America safe and to keep our economy rolling.”
James went on to say, “I expect the president, of course, to secure our border. I expect [him] to revoke policies that hurt America’s ability to not just get energy independence, but energy dominance, which will lower our supply chain costs, which will lower the price of everything from gasoline to eggs.”
He added, “I expect the president to make sure that the country, the government cannot target its people and I'm looking forward to seeing what he does.”
