If the failed Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh obstruction attempt did not do enough to inspire Republican voters to turn out to keep the House majority in November, GOP pollster John McLaughlin called on his party to make the midterms a referendum on Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.
"We've got three weeks to go, and we've got to keep them engaged so that they see the stakes here – and what's really more at battle is the House," McLaughlin told Newsmax TV's "America Talks Live" on Monday. "And if the Republicans do not stop Democrats from taking over the House, Nancy Pelosi will be the highest ranking Democrat and the leader of their party in the land."

McLaughlin pointed to his September polling figures that have "only 30 percent of all voters are favorable to her," while 55 percent view her unfavorably.
"It just boggles my mind why Republicans are not running against her every day," McLaughlin told hosts John Cardillo and Dr. Gina Loudon. "They need to remind people what it was like when she was speaker. How she jammed in Obamacare. . . .
"We need to really remind people what's going on with Nancy Pelosi, because she represents open border Democrats . . . not only trying to stop [President Donald] Trump, but repealing his tax cut . . . raising taxes and driving jobs out of the country.
"That is really what the election is about the next three weeks."
McLaughlin aided Jared Kushner and the Trump campaign in providing polling numbers to shape GOP political strategy in the successful 2016 presidential election.
