O'Reilly on Trump's Iran Tweet: 'Worked' With North Korea

Bill O'Reilly told Newsmax TV Monday that he was not surprised President Donald Trump warned Iran against making further threats against the United States because "it worked with North Korea."

"Donald Trump feels there's no downside in calling out Iran," O'Reilly told "The Wayne Allyn Root Show" in an interview. "It's the exact opposite of what Barack Obama did."

He noted the White House's inaction during the 2009 protests in Tehran over the disputed election victory of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

"There was an Iranian uprising under the Obama administration," he told Root. "Barack Obama didn't do anything.

"Nothing. Didn't say anything. Nothing.

"So, President Trump sees that his base wants Iran confronted," O'Reilly explained.

"I think Iran is in play with the Russian stuff. I think there's a connection there.

"So, I wasn't surprised that Donald Trump did that."
