Larry Klayman: Uranium One Deal Needs Special Counsel

News reports that prosecutors under Attorney General Jeff Sessions are seeking more information on the Uranium One deal "are just icing on the cake as to why there needs to be a special counsel," Freedom Watch founder Larry Klayman told Newsmax TV on Thursday.

"They're very serious," he told host John Bachman on "America Talks Live" in an interview. "The reality is that the Obama administration overlooked this.

"They buried this investigation under FBI Director James Comey," whom President Donald Trump fired in May.

"Hundreds of millions of dollars of what, in effect, were bribes were going into the Clinton Foundation.

"Hillary Clinton, as secretary of state, sat on top of the committee, the government committee" that approved "the sale of 20 percent of America's uranium reserves to the Russians.

"It's very serious," Klayman told Bachman. "There should be an independent counsel.

"I don't have any confidence that this attorney general will go forward with any kind of grand jury or indictment. He should appoint a special counsel.

"If it's good for President Trump — and, really, that's a bogus investigation," he said. "It's certainly is more true for Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton and their foundation."
