Pope Francis gave Donald Trump a "big, fat, wet kiss" when he called the GOP presidential front-runner "not Christian" because of his views on immigration, Republican political consultant Mary Matalin told
Newsmax TV.
"I'm a Catholic — and I know what the Pope was saying," Matalin told "The Steve Malzberg Show" in an interview. "He should stay out of politics.

"He gave Trump a big, fat, wet kiss, whether he meant to or not," she added. "Every time Trump becomes the victim, whoever's attacking him, is bad on him.
"I know what the Pope was saying. He shouldn't say it. Also, the Vatican has walls.
"I love the Pope," Matalin told Malzberg. "I'm in Rome all the time, but he just needs to stay out of politics."
