Political commentator Michael Reagan told Newsmax TV on Wednesday that President Donald Trump's line "Americans are dreamers, too" from his State of the Union address will "outlive Donald Trump."

"Donald Trump took it to the absolute 10th degree with how he was able to use that in every aspect of his speech," Reagan told "Newsmax Now" host Bill Tucker.

He was referring to the president inviting guests to sit in the House chamber during his address.

Reagan's father, President Ronald Reagan, was the first to invite guests to his SOTU addresses, in 1982.

"But I call it like everybody else," Reagan told Tucker, referring to Trump's "Americans are dreamers, too" line.

"So true," he said.

"I've always looked, since Donald Trump took office, for him to find that one sentence — that one line, that one moment — that will live past his presidency.

"My father has many, with all the great speeches he gave, but that one line . . . will go down in history and will outlive Donald Trump."
