Michael Reagan on Berlin: Angela Merkel 'Praying' Driver Wasn't Syrian Refugee

Political commentator Michael Reagan told Newsmax TV on Tuesday that German Chancellor Angela Merkel was most likely "praying" that the driver in the Berlin attacks was "not one of the refugees she let into Berlin or into Germany.

"That's what she's hoping for right now," the eldest son of former President Ronald Reagan told "Newsmax Prime" host Miranda Khan.

"The problem is, it probably is one of those refugees who have come into Germany and may very well come here and many other places around the world who are allowing these refugees come in without being vetted."

Reagan said that the attack, along with others committed by radicalized immigrants in the United States in in other countries, reflected a broader lack of leadership in combating terrorism.

"What we have in America, around the world basically, is we really don't have leadership at this point," he told Khan. "So, people are free to do what they're doing because people are so fearful of being politically correct that they end up doing nothing to protect ourselves.

"Just like Angela Merkel trying to be politically correct has caused her country to be torn apart by these refugees coming in."
