Democrats could potentially vote to impeach President Donald Trump if they take over the majority in both chambers on Capitol Hill, political commentator Michael Reagan told Newsmax TV.
During an appearance on Monday's "Newsmax Now," Reagan said Republicans have to be focused on their message ahead of November's midterm elections.

"With the Republicans working on the side [of], if you elect Democrats there's going to be an impeachment, there very well might be," Reagan said. "It's a little different than 1998. Because now it's just hateful and mean-spirited in the world that we live in.
"If I'm the Republican Party, if I'm the president of the United States, I'm running on the things that we've accomplished. I'm running on the fact that people are making more money than they ever made in their lives. I'm running on the fact that African-American unemployment is down lower than it's ever been. I'm talking about the economy, I'm talking about the market, I'm talking about these positive things."
Reagan noted that if a blue wave sweeps through Congress in November, the Trump administration's accomplishments to date could be erased.
"If you elect Democrats, they'll unwind all the good things that have been put forward through this president," Reagan said. "There's a lot of things to like [about Trump], there's a lot of things you don't like. But I'm sure everybody likes more money in their pocketbook. I'm sure everybody likes more money in their 401(k). I think there's a lot of things to like with what he has accomplished, even though you might not like him."
Some Republicans are predicting that the party will have a tough time holding onto its majorities in the House and Senate later this year.
