Michael Reagan: GOP Should Be Wary of Hillary Indictment in Email Scandal

By    |   Tuesday, 23 February 2016 08:13 PM EST

If Hillary Clinton is indicted in the email scandal, the Republicans "could get what they want" and still end up unhappy, political commentator Michael Reagan told Newsmax TV on Tuesday.

"When you talk about a race between [GOP presidential front-runner Donald] Trump and Hillary, there's a lot of Republicans who would wish that somebody else was totally into the race," Reagan, the eldest son of former President Ronald Reagan, told "The Steve Malzberg Show" in an interview.

However, with any Clinton indictment, "watch what you wish for," he cautioned. "If that happens, then you'll get a Joe Biden — and you will give Republicans a place to go on Election Day other than Donald Trump."

And in a choice between the vice president and the real estate developer, "I'd choke, but I'd have to go with Trump."
