My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell told Newsmax TV on Thursday that he is "99% sure" that he'll run for the Republican nomination for governor of Minnesota following his appearance at a rally for President Donald Trump on Wednesday.
Lindell told "John Bachman Now" that he's "getting real close" to deciding to campaign for the nomination. "I told them last night at the rally, I said, 'you guys, let's get this state all red and then ... I definitely want to run for governor."
He added, "So, I'm 99% sure that I'm going to run, the crowd went crazy so I kind of tested it there. 'What would you guys think if I did this?' And everyone afterwards was coming up for pictures saying, 'You've gotta run, you've got to save our state, our governor is so bad.'"
The My Pillow CEO added that Trump's support in the state is underestimated, saying, "I'm on the ground, even the Democrats are flipping, they're switching over," to support the president because "the Democratic Party left a long time ago."
