NewsBusters' Noyes: MSNBC Airs 'Mean-Spirited, Gutter Politics'

Wednesday, 05 February 2014 06:38 PM EST

MSNBC deals in "mean-spirited, gutter politics" that it tries to mask as legitimate news commentary, says Rich Noyes, research director and senior editor at the media watchdog NewsBusters.org.

"It's trying to pass itself off as news commentary, news analysis, trying to give it that patina of authority and respectability," Noyes told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"It's not respectable at all, and people and the rest of journalism are being brought down by this," Noyes said Wednesday.
