Newsmax was the first mainstream media news outlet to call former President Donald Trump's New Hampshire GOP primary Tuesday night right at 8 p.m. ET.
The polls closed at 8 p.m. and with about 18% of the vote tallied, the Newsmax's projection for Trump's victory was made with the check mark by his name before the clock clicked to 8:01.
Last week, former presidential candidate Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' campaign issued complaints about mainstream media news outlets – not Newsmax – calling the race before the caucus vote was closed.
This week, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley was quick to respond to Trump's victory, congratulating her former boss but drawing Trump's ire with her quick speech delivery and vowing to keep the challenge going.
"Thank you for the victory: It's wonderful," Trump said, pausing his Haley hits before picking right back up with the competitive fire.
"Who the hell was the impostor that went up on the stage before and like, claimed a victory? She did very poorly.
"Actually, she had to win, the governor said she's gonna win. She's gonna win. She's gonna win. Then she failed badly."
Newsmax's election-night race calls are made from Decision Desk HQ.
