No one should be allowed to record conversations in the White House, especially in the highly secure Situation Room, Bill O'Reilly told Newsmax TV.
During an appearance on "The Wayne Allyn Root Show," O'Reilly addressed the fiasco around former White House staffer Omarosa Manigault Newman, who recorded conversations she had with chief of staff John Kelly and even President Donald Trump himself.
Omarosa has included details of the calls in her new book she is peddling.
"That should never happen," O'Reilly said, noting it probably would not be worth trying to prosecute her despite the fact at least one conversation was taped in the Situation Room.
"But I don't think anybody looks good. Certainly the woman does not look good. This is a betrayal."

Omarosa's account of her year in the White House, titled "Unhinged: An Insider's Account of the Trump White House," debuts Tuesday. O'Reilly wondered who will actually read it.
"I don't think anybody cares what Omarosa said," O'Reilly said. "I really don't. So, she says all this stuff, pushing a book. Is anybody gonna read the book? You'd have to be a loon to read it. Why would you want to read it? If you hate Trump, you hate Trump. You like Trump, Omarosa's not gonna change your mind, right?
"The White House needs to learn some lessons here. These people, a lot of them they brought in, are not trustworthy people. And they need to clamp down."
