Rep. Pat Fallon, R-Texas, told Newsmax TV the possibility of being shunned or even blacklisted by liberals does not worry him.
"It reminds me a bit of those videos from the '90s but with a political twist: We're going to call it, 'Liberals Gone Wild,'" Fallon told co-hosts Sean Spicer and Lyndsay Keith on Monday's "Spicer & Co." "It doesn't make a lick of sense.
"This about the Left, which usually says, 'We need to hold these conservatives accountable.' But really what that means is just, 'Let's punish in silence.' And we're not going to let them do that."
Fallon, a freshman congressman after winning in November, mentioned how liberals were seeking to silence conservative voices on television and social media platforms.
"I was elected by 750,000 East Texans to be their voice in our representative republic," Fallon said, "and I'm not going to worry about people who don't like me for the wrong damn reasons."
The former University of Notre Dame football player, U.S. Air Force officer, and state politician was asked if he regretted objecting to the electoral votes before and after demonstrators rioted at the Capitol on Wednesday.
"No, because it was on a constitutional basis," Fallon said. "I didn't object to all six of the states in question because in Nevada, we couldn't find any constitutional basis to do so, but we did in five states."
Following the delay in the proceedings due to the storming of the Capitol, Fallon was asked if he still planned to object.
"I said, 'I'm not going to let the damn mob dictate my votes because they're bullies, and I'm not going to let them win,'" he said. "If you believe in not certifying before, or, for that matter, if you believed in certifying before, the actions of those criminals shouldn't change your stance at all."
