Pete Hoekstra: Reform VA and Obamacare

Obamacare and the Veteran's Administration are both embattled healthcare systems run by the federal government — and both need to be reformed, former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Pete Hoekstra told Newsmax TV on Tuesday.

"What Donald Trump and Mike Pence ought to be do is they also ought to be making the correlation," Hoekstra told "Newsmax Prime" host J.D. Hayworth. "We have another government-run healthcare system.

"It's called the Veterans Administration — and as the scandals and the lack of care to our veterans have demonstrated over the last number of months, none of us want American healthcare to look like the care that our veterans are getting.

"It's time to reform VA care and to reform Obamacare."
