Rep. Pete King derided
Hillary Clinton's depiction of Donald Trump as the "most dangerous" candidate to ever run for president as "ridiculous," telling
Newsmax TV the same description was used about Ronald Reagan.
In an interview Tuesday with J.D. Hayworth on "Newsmax Prime," the New York Republican and Homeland Security Committee member said Trump "is clearly the person that we need," and "clearly superior to Hillary Clinton."

"Under her leadership – or lack of leadership – in the State Department, we saw what happened in Libya, we've seen what's happened in Afghanistan and Syria," he said, adding, "Now we see what's happening in Turkey."
"So for her to say that Donald Trump is the most dangerous person… that's the type of leadership they want."
"The last person the Democrats called the most dangerous man to ever run for president of the United States was Ronald Reagan," he added. "Again, he was very dangerous in the Soviet Union, very dangerous to the Soviet empire and also very dangerous to Democrats.
King also dismissed Clinton's condemnation of waterboarding, saying he doesn't consider it "to be torture."
"I also believe that in time of war… the American president should have more leeway. I don't consider that torture. For her to be accusing him of that, of the military wanting to do it, it's absolutely wrong."
