More and more police officers fear doing their jobs in the wake of the growing number of prosecutions that have been launched against cops, says the Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, president of the Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny.
"A lot of officers of all colors, not just white officers, are starting to hold back because they're damned if they do and they're damned if they don't," Peterson said Wednesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on
Newsmax TV.

"These officers are getting up every morning and some at night and leaving their families to go into urban areas to protect the good from the bad and yet they're under attack.
"They're not appreciated and, unfortunately, we have the president of the United States of America and the Department of Justice and others to thank for creating this environment."
And Peterson fears it can only get worse.
"I'm sorry to report that we haven't seen anything yet. It's going to be a long, hot summer," he told Steve Malzberg.
"We're going to see more and more officers refusing to put their lives on the line in this manner or put their jobs on the line.
"Because they know they're not protected by the folks who are in charge of them, the mayors of some of these cities, the president, and others. It's not good for the country overall."
