Veteran pollster John Zogby is impressed with Donald Trump's first TV campaign ad, telling
Newsmax TV the billionaire developer and Republican presidential front-runner is "pressing the buttons" in the 30-second spot.
The ad — set to air in the early primary states of Iowa and New Hampshire and focusing on national security, illegal immigration, and Trump's vision to "make America great again" — makes references to border security, terrorism, radical Islam as well as the Democrats.
"One of the top two issues right there is national security and 'radical Islam,''' Zogby told J.D. Hayworth, host of "Newsmax Prime."

"[It's an] interesting juxtaposition there of Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and then the murderous couple in San Bernardino. He's pressing the buttons."
"The issue is he's gotten very, very far without spending a dime, but can he get voters out to vote for him? I don't know if that's a money issue or not but if he's got the money to spend, which he does. This is probably a very effective ad."
Zogby said Clinton, the Democratic presidential front-runner, will not benefit from having her husband, former president Bill Clinton, stump for her on the campaign trail.
"He is a liability, definitively. He works well when he's campaigning for himself and maybe a whole lot of other people, but a husband shilling for a wife I just don't think works," Zogby said.
"It did not work in 2007, 2008 very well and I don't think it's going to work right now, either."
