Girls With Guns Advocate Wants Women to Defend Themselves

As gun control advocates relaunch their effort to enact legislation restricting gun rights, Regis Giles, the creator and owner of girlsjustwannahaveguns.com, tells Newsmax TV that the best way to fight violence against women is to own a gun, not pass more laws.

"A lot of people like to say, why do you need a gun? You're a girl, you shouldn't be at a shooting range, you should be on the beach tanning. I am on the beach tanning, but I also have a firearm with me just in case some idiot tries to come up and attack me," Giles told "MidPoint" host Ed Berliner.

With statistics showing that 1 in 4 women between ages 18 and 24 will be the victim of sexual assault, Giles says her goal is "to change those statistics and make it every 1 in 4  rapists or attacker who dies. I want to see women learning how to defend themselves."
