The "infighting if still going on" in the White House — as evidenced by the latest report speculating about the future of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, according to former House majority leader Tom DeLay.
The former GOP lawmaker told Newsmax TV's "Newsmax Now" that "the deep state" — an inner core of Obama loyalists seeking to stop the Trump presidency — "is really upset" with Tillerson's cuts in State Department staff and spending.
"The infighting is still going on obviously even though [White House chief of staff] Gen. [John] Kelly is trying his best" to "get everybody onboard in working with the president," DeLay said.
But President Donald Trump is "holding things . . . close to his vest," DeLay added.
"I don't know and I don't think anybody knows what Trump is thinking right now as it relates to Rex Tillerson," he said. "I do know that if you disagree with him, he doesn't have much use for you anymore."

DeLay also weighed in on the GOP tax reform effort, saying the real work will take place in a conference committee, where the House and Senate "work out their differences."
"When they get into that conference committee they're going to write the real bill that they've been talking about,” he said.
He also agreed with U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley we are getting closer to war with North Korea — and its leader, Kim Jong Un "is going to push us to the cliff."
"We have to show them persistence and power," he said. "I think that's what the Trump administration is doing."
