The Republican National Committee was right to cancel the GOP debate set for NBC in February because the liberal media are "agents" of Hillary Clinton who shouldn’t be grilling conservative candidates, conservative commentator Richard Viguerie tells
Newsmax TV.
"It's a small obvious step that should've been taken years ago. The idea that Republicans are going to turn over [control] to their political opponents, agents of Hillary [Clinton who] are the mainstream media," Viguerie said Friday on "Newsmax Prime" with J.D. Hayworth.
"It's not just NBC. It's CNN, it's ABC, CBS. We've got failed leadership in the House of Representatives. Republicans do in the Senate also. Now with the Republican National Committee, is there anybody in the Republican Party at the national level that can play this game?"

The RNC
bid NBC adieu following Wednesday's critically-drubbed GOP debate, which was staged by NBC’s business network CNBC and almost universally panned.
"The idea of the national media being involved in these debates is ridiculous. There should be something that the Republican National Committee conducts and they invite the media," Viguerie said.
"The media will come in and carry it if they want, but you don't turn your messaging over to your political opponents. That's crazy."
