Amid the controversy swirling over Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who is slated to meet with President Donald Trump on Thursday, Freedom Watch founder Larry Klayman told Newsmax TV that Rosenstein should be fired.
"I would fire him," Klayman told Monday's "America Talks Live." "You can't leave him in place. It's like leaving Brutus as part of the Roman Senate.
"You can't do that, and you have to set an example for others in the administration that you won't tolerate sedition – even perhaps to the level of treason at this point."

Amid speculation Rosenstein was going to resign but will be forcing President Trump to fire him, Klayman says it is no coincidence the meeting with Trump will come Thursday as Christine Blasey Ford testifies before the Senate Judiciary Committee on her allegations of sexual assault against a then-17-year-old Brett Kavanaugh.
"So, the White House is cleverly setting that to take heat on Thursday from what is going to happen to Rosenstein," Klayman told Newsmax TV hosts Miranda Khan, John Cardillo, and Dr. Gina Loudon.
Klayman did acknowledge President Trump might "keep his enemy close" by not firing Rosenstein, which is why there is some hesitation to do so.
"He should be fired as matter of principle," Klayman concluded. "Principle for once has to prevail."
