As depicted in the movie
"American Sniper," soldiers returning from combat face myriad challenges once they arrive home and criticisms by filmmaker Michael Moore and actor Seth Rogen are both insulting and ignorant, according to former Navy SEAL sniper Scott Taylor, who appeared Tuesday on
Newsmax TV.
"There's certainly a struggle there," Taylor said Tuesday on "America’s Forum," where he discussed the movie about real life American sniper Chris Kyle.

"PTSD, there's guys that come back and just go through extraordinary stress, combat stress, and come back and have to integrate back into society. From what I understand, it definitely depicts that struggle and Chris's own personal struggle and then also the folks that he tried to help.
"One of the things that helped him with his struggle was trying to help other people," said Taylor, author of
"Trust Betrayed: Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and the Selling Out of America's National Security".
Moore and Rogen tweeted critical remarks about the movie over the weekend. Moore wrote that his uncle was killed by a sniper in World War II, while Rogen tweeted that the movie reminded him of the third act of "Inglorious Basterds."
"It sucks that I have to dignify these guys' comments and I like Seth's work, too," said Taylor. "What I'll say is Michael Moore and Seth obviously need a history lesson and they need a reality lesson.
"First a history lesson … snipers were a big part of the Revolutionary War. We didn't have a sniper program in World War II. Michael Moore's uncle was killed and perhaps if we did have a sniper program there, maybe he would have been saved, which we have saved many lives in Afghanistan, in Iraq with snipers.
"And the reality of course is they save many lives and I challenged Michael Moore last night
on Fox News, come see what we did, come see what snipers do, we'll show you.
"Come speak to veterans who have had their lives saved by snipers or who have been protected by snipers in an over watch position as they move through targets, as reconnaissance, stuff like that. I mean we play an integral part of protecting U.S. and coalition forces in Afghanistan and Iraq.
"God forbid Michael Moore is ever in a hostage situation where he needs a sniper to save his big butt. He would get a reality check very quickly and so would Seth Rogen if they were over there."
