The bias against conservatives in Hollywood reached a new low as an ABC executive rejected working with "Scott Trump Baio," according to the self-proclaimed Trump-supporting actor on Newsmax TV.
"I never saw something that was so blatant," Baio, who has starred on ABC shows for years, told Thursday's "Spicer & Co." "Blatant dislike – I don't want to use the word hatred – dislike for an individual."
The anti-Trump sentiment in Hollywood has become so mainstream, the bias does not carry any consequences or stigma, in fact, it is more often applauded.
"I knew it existed, but I didn't think anybody was really brazen enough or knew there'd be no consequences and knew nothing would happen to them and just say it and put it out there," Baio told host Sean Spicer. "That's what shocked me more than anything, Sean."
The supposed tolerance and inclusiveness are not virtues of Democrats and anti-Trumpers; they have become openly spiteful, Baio lamented.
"The left has been doing this for years," Baio, who said he is socially liberal as a conservative, added. "It's called projection, for a therapy term – which I really don't like doing; I don't like to use words like that – but it is: 'You're this, so you won't see me doing it.'
"They've been talking bad about us: 'Every Republican's an idiot; every Republican president has been an imbecile; and we are racists, bigots, and homophobes.' And it's stuck.
"And that is so opposite of what I am, being a conservative American."
