Monday, 01 December 2014 04:11 PM EST

Christian authors and recording artists Stacie Ruth and Carrie Beth Stoelting say they have launched a campaign to bring Christmas to the nation's military amid attacks on the religious liberties of Americans.

"We're trying to bring Christmas to them because a lot of things are happening within, frankly, the Obama administration that kind of take away from Christian rights and Jewish rights," Stacie Ruth said Monday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

Carrie Beth added: "Sadly, the military is being attacked from the point of religious freedom and particularly of Judeo-Christians. Judeo-Christian values are being stifled …

"We've got our men and women who are defending us and their own religious liberties being attacked. We need to stand with them, come to their side, and give them our prayers and our support, especially during the Christmas season."

The Stoeltings are the co-founders of Unite the USA to promote "positive patriotism, encourage conservative standards, honor veterans, give a voice to the poor and afflicted, and to fully apply 'in God we trust' to daily life."
