The left is using porn star Stormy Daniels as a weapon to try to destroy President Donald Trump because attempts to smear him with charges of collusion with Russia have failed, former New York City Police detective Bo Dietl tells Newsmax TV.
"It's being used as a political football," Dietl, a Trump supporter and conservative commentator, told John Bachman on "Newsmax Now."
"They don't have anything else on this Russian conspiracy crap, so what they're doing is they're utilizing everything and anything they can throw against President Donald Trump, and I think it’s disgraceful they have nothing else to do."

Daniels, a veteran porn star, went on Sunday's "60 Minutes" to bare details of her alleged sex romp with Trump in 2006.
"There's not an allegation of any kind of abuse," Dietl said. "If there's consensual sex by two adults. Is it wrong? He was married, yes. But is it criminal? No."
He added he does not buy into Daniels' claim she and her young child were threatened with harm if she kept talking about Trump.
"You know what this sounds like? This sounds like a trumped up — I hate to use your name Mr. President — but a trumped-up case," Dietl said.
