Hillary Clinton is only going to win the White House next year by "letting the Republicans lose the presidency," former GOP House Majority Leader Tom DeLay told
Newsmax TV on Tuesday.
"That can happen, we saw that in the last two elections, the Republicans shooting themselves in the foot," DeLay, the five-term Texan who served as speaker from 2003 to 2005, told "The Steve Malzberg Show" in an interview. "We have got to nominate a strong person, a person that can stand on those kinds of issues but have that vision."

He added that Clinton's plan to add former President Bill Clinton to her Democratic campaign so early in the process was "mindboggling" and proved "how stupid they are politically.
"That's the worst thing they could do is get Bill Clinton out on the campaign trail," DeLay told Malzberg. "The media is not going to be able to ignore it.
"If Bill Clinton's going to come out there, and Hillary Clinton is going to talk about sexism and women and play the women's card, the worst person you want out on that trail is Bill Clinton," he added. "The only way we got the votes to impeach him is to go look at the record.
"Not just Monica Lewinsky, the record of his sexual assault."
Clinton was impeached by Congress in 1998.
