Congress has to repeal Obamacare and tackle tax reform in the next two months or risk losing faith among voters who expect the GOP to keep campaign promises, former Texas lawmaker Tom DeLay told Newsmax TV.
In an interview Wednesday with "Newsmax Prime" host J.D. Hayworth, the former House majority leader and author of "Revival! Revolution! Rebirth!" said President Donald Trump has "just got to keep the pedal down."

"We really got to get Obamacare repealed," DeLay said. "I don't care if they replace it. And they got to get a tax reform bill in there."
"I think you can do both at the same time or one goes before the other but I think it's got to be done in the next six weeks to two months, the repeal part," he added.
"The American people, if you start putting it off — and there's been talk about 'oh we can do it in a year or two years or we got to phase in or transition' — that kind of talk is really upsetting a lot of people that I know of."
DeLay also doubled down on his calls for impeachment of Judge James Robart, the federal judge from Seattle who froze Trump's travel ban, decrying the jurist as part of a "lawless judiciary."
"What's lurking in the weeds — and we're seeing it right now — is the Democrats are going to use the judiciary as their legislature," DeLay argued.
"So we're going to have to fight these fights in the courts and we better take on this lawless judiciary."
