Judge Andrew Napolitano posed the question on Newsmax on Monday: Why did special prosecutor Nathan Wade, who is allegedly romantically involved with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, meet with the White House on May 23, 2022 — one year before an indictment was brought against former President Donald Trump on Aug. 15, 2023, in Georgia?
Napolitano's charge that something may be awry comes amidst a recent development in a Trump official, Mike Roman's motion to dismiss the case, which lists the invoices of Wade's office. As highlighted by the nonprofit MarcoPolo on X, Wade met with the White House twice, once in May 2022 and on Nov. 18, 2022.
Responding to "Carl Higbie FRONTLINE," on whether the meetings raise more questions in this case, Napolitano replies, "Yes, it does. And neutral, independent people will want to know what is the White House and DOJ's involvement in this case."
"The only connection that I know of is the one I just mentioned: where defendants who flipped against Trump — and they are now going to testify against him in the state case — are being interviewed by the feds to see if they can testify against him in that case."
"But," the judge adds, "what he talked to the DOJ and the White House about is a head-scratcher." Nonetheless, Napolitano continues, the truth "will come out. It always comes out."
When interviewed by conservative commentator Charlie Kirk in August of last year, Newt Gingrich said he heard a rumor from a "reliable" source that "someone in Washington" called Willis "to indict on" a "Monday," despite the jury not being available till Tuesday, to "cover up mistakes made with Weiss."
David Weiss, as the former House speaker refers, is the U.S. attorney for Delaware. As news castings show and as pointed out by X account KanekoaTheGreat , the "Weiss' 'screw up' originated on July 19, 2023, when IRS whistle blowers testified before Congress about DOJ and Weiss blocking investigators from filing felony charges against Hunter Biden, tipping off Hunter about search warrants, preventing witness interviews, and restricting any investigation into President Joe Biden."
A report from The Federalist also shows that on July 19, 2023, when IRS whistle blowers testified about their investigation into Hunter Biden, they state that Weiss allowed the statute of limitations to expire in the case regarding President Biden's son.
