Emmy-winning broadcast journalist Bob Sellers has joined Newsmax TV as the anchor of “American Agenda,” a new weekday news show airing live from New York City on America’s fastest-growing cable network.

Previously, Sellers anchored “Fox News Live” on the Fox News Channel, and was an anchor on CNBC, co-hosting “Today’s Business” and “Market Watch.” At WSMV-TV in Nashville, he won an Emmy in 2010 for his coverage of the historic floods that devastated the area.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Bob to Newsmax TV, which now reaches over 70 million cable/satellite homes and subscribers,” Elliot Jacobson, chief content officer and EVP programming, said. “Bob has impeccable news credentials as a journalist and anchor.”

As a teenager, Sellers was a star athlete and was drafted by the Kansas City Royals out of high school, but did not sign. Instead, he attended the University of Virginia on a baseball scholarship, majoring in government and foreign affairs.

Sellers is author of “Forbes Best Business Mistakes: How Today’s Top Business Leaders Turned Missteps into Success.” He also serves on the board of advisers for the media studies department at the University of Virginia.
